Patient Engagement Specialist

Cincinnati, OH 

Heyday Health is hiring a patient engagement specialist to join our growing team. We help seniors access world-class primary care through home and virtual visits, and we’re passionate about providing exceptional patient experiences and care. This is an exciting time to join our team as we are growing our Engagement team.

We're looking for someone who is comfortable and confident talking to both inbound and outbound leads about Heyday’s services. This role will be split between remote (telephonic and online) and in-person outreach, including community outreach activities and door knocking. Candidates must be comfortable with both outreach channels, and with learning the Heyday care model in depth to provide quick and accurate information to potential patients.

What you bring:

  • Experience in customer service or sales, with healthcare experience a plus
  • Prior experience with inbound and outbound leads preferred, including community outreach to providers, hospitals, and SNFs
  • Eagerness to collaborate with a small but growing startup team to build rapidly as we scale our patient base
  • Willingness to travel to meet patients and stakeholders
  • Excellent organization and communication skills, including presentation skills 
  • Empathy for our stakeholders; desire to learn from our patients and providers and engage with their needs
  • Ability to problem solve and self-navigate
  • Belief in the value of diversity of background, experience, and thought

About the role:

The Patient Engagement Specialist role is a full-time position. You will report directly to the Head of Patient Engagement and you will be expected to complete the appropriate trainings for HIPAA and Medicare compliance and any required background checks prior to your start date.

Role responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Managing inbound and outbound calls
  • Utilizing a CRM to track leads
  • Ability to present on Heyday Health’s services to a wide audience
  • Properly documenting interactions with potential and engaged patients
  • Engaging potential patients via community outreach efforts and door knocking
  • Verifying insurance and eligibility
  • Scheduling patients 
  • Providing closed loop communication to referral sources
  • Open to working some weeknights and weekends

Pay range:

$45,000-$65,000
