TLNT is recruiting for a leading FinTech innovator revolutionizing shopping, payments, and banking across the MENA region. This leadership role offers the flexibility to work remotely from anywhere in India.

The Role
As a Lead Engineer - Backend, you will spearhead the development of cutting-edge platforms enabling seamless, scalable transactions. This role combines technical leadership with team management in a distributed environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and inspire a team of 5+ engineers across various specialties
  • Drive technical discovery and guide decision-making processes
  • Develop and implement high-scale, consumer-facing products
  • Manage project timelines, stakeholder expectations, and cross-team dependencies
  • Ensure alignment of team objectives with organizational goals
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation
  • Collaborate closely with other squad leads, engineering managers, and the architecture team

Required Expertise:
  • 5+ years of software development experience in high-scale consumer products
  • 2+ years managing diverse engineering teams (Mobile, Web, QA)
  • Strong proficiency in Java and Golang; PHP migration experience is a plus
  • Expertise in Spring, Spring Boot, or Hibernate
  • Solid understanding of SOLID principles and Design Patterns
  • Proficiency with GCP, Kubernetes/Docker, and distributed systems
  • Experience with messaging tools like Kafka or RabbitMQ
  • Familiarity with both SQL and NoSQL databases
  • CI/CD setup and management experience
  • Strong background in Agile/Scrum methodologies
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
