Description

General Description

Under the Director of Public Private Partnerships, the Partnership Specialist is responsible for the research, development, and support of publicly funded programs. Publicly funded programs are government funded supplemental education programs provided to students. With the help of the Partnership Specialist, Huntington centers contract with local schools, districts, states, to provide during and after school tutoring programs, summer enrichment programs, subject-specific tutoring programs, in-school exam prep programs (ISEP), and exam prep group testing (GTM). These programs are a part of Contract Services.

 

Primary Functions/Responsibilities

  • Research
    • Develop and maintain a list of resources nationwide designed to identify publicly funded opportunities for states, districts, and schools.
    • Communicate (phone calls, emails) with state, district, and school personnel to discuss opportunities and potential partnerships for our Huntington centers.
    • Identify open bids, grants, and program opportunities in the U.S. that Huntington centers qualify for.
    • Screen potential Request for Proposals to:
      • determine if the program is Huntington-appropriate
      • identify submission deadlines
      • Identify eligible center(s) to provide services
  • Franchisee support
    • Assist the Director of Public Private Partnerships and Partnership Specialists in all areas of managing the proposal process with a franchisee or center staff
      • Communicate with franchisee via the PPP help desk and phone/video discussions to gather information and provide guidance throughout the proposal process
      • Confirm franchisee eligibility to administer publicly funded programs
      • Coordinate center support with various corporate departments
      • Manage program documentation including but not limited to applications, checklists, proposals, agreements, program supporting materials, after program reports
      • Develop proposals by writing, revising, and editing drafts. *Previous proposal writing and grant solicitation is required*
      • Meet proposal deadlines.
  • Program follow up and reporting
    • Gather program results
      • Elicit feedback from franchisees during and after the program
      • Gather specific program details including but not limited to hours of instruction, attendance, observations
      • Gather student progress results including initial and exit assessment test scores
    • Recordkeeping
      • Maintain student progress reporting documents for use internally and for marketing purposes
  • Additional support materials:
    • Work with various departments and the Contract Services Council to identify additional needs for supporting franchisees in all aspects of researching, marketing, contracting, instructing, and after-program data collection for all Contract Services programs
    • Assist in developing needed materials.
  • Contract services knowledge:
    • Maintain high level knowledge of national and state-specific trends for educational funding.
      • Monitor timely news articles and national as well as state-specific Department of Education websites for relevant information pertaining to contract services.
    • Disseminate contract services knowledge:
      • Internally – via memos and discussions to ensure all corporate teams are kept abreast of the most up-to-date information.
      • Externally – via memos, articles, and discussions to ensure members of the Huntington community are kept abreast of the most up-to-date information.
  • Other support:
    • Partnership Help Desk
      • Support the franchise community and company centers by answering Contract-Services related questions submitted to the Partnership Help Desk.
      • Provide support to other departments as needed.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Attend trainings and webinars as necessary and relevant.
  • May require some travel to attend events and visit in-person partnership programs.

Qualifications

Educational Requirements/Certifications

  • Minimum of four-year college degree
  • Current or prior full-time Assistant Director or higher experience at a Huntington Learning Center
  • Strong knowledge of Huntington’s programs and materials
  • Prior experience with proposal development a plus
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in all areas of Microsoft Office
