Role: Senior Digital Asset Manager
Location: / Mexico
ROLE MISSION
Working in partnership with our client, responsible for leading long-term deployment strategy, implementation and workflow of the Digital Asset Management system
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING IN YOUR ROLE
- Act as primary liaison between client and various studios with regard to naming conventions, campaigns storage, assets, new photography and archiving
- Develop and maintain a metadata entry protocol. Work with various stakeholders across the enterprise to define metadata and taxonomy guidelines. Actively promote data consistency to support common standards and analytic
- Responsible for assigning appropriate metadata for assets to ensure accurate usage rights
- Manages the Digital Asset system and facilitate the uploading of assets as well as maintaining and upgrading the system
- Registers internal and external users to the Digital Asset Management system based on permissions
- Facilitates retrieval of previously catalogued images/shoots
- Processes raw images using the appropriate software
- Archive assets as necessary
- Generates asset download reports
- Maintains accurate procedures and records for the system
- Keeps informed of latest Digital Asset Management technology trends and innovations
- Other duties as identified and assigned by
- Establish periodic data verification review processes to ensure data accuracy and to support easy and consistent search and delivery of assets
Additional Detail:
- Understanding metadata and how to build taxonomies and keywording within the DAM
- Analytical thinking and attention to detail
- Strong organizational, planning and training skills
- Understanding how DAMs work (Upload, Download, Search, etc), and how to optimize workflows and processes within the DAM
- Knowledge of Rights and Lifecycle management
Proficient in MS Office, Adobe Photoshop, and Illustrator (not to edit, but to check files occasionally), I use MS ClipChamp to check mov files. Must have existing experience with a DAM (very NB) or a MAM
These are areas to consider.
>Brand management within the DAM – (I've got to brush up on this 😊) With Aprimo – even though this will be the workspace for the marketing teams – the DAM teams can also need to assist with housekeeping)
>I have not tested Aprimo's AI capabilities, yet. Content Hub's AI generates a lot of noise, and it cannot be trained.

The DAM professionals who communicate with management need to have an understanding of high-level business needs and how DAM can meet those needs. Why? Because it is important to quantify:

- Either an internal, permanent staff for ongoing consultation OR an external (temporary), outside perspective looking in with a fresh viewpoint

- An industry expert in the field
DAM Specialist/Coordinator
- Organize and upload assets
- Metatag assets
Data Entry Specialist* (depending on volume)
Digital Platform Specialist
