Responsibilities
- Provide leadership to a remote sales team located across 5 locations nationally to ensure Sales targets are achieved.
- Seek to drive growth in channels, drive positive customer experiences and grow market share.
- Responsible for human resource management activities such as the maintenance of proper staffing levels, attainment of desired employee retention rates, harmonious employee relations, monitoring performance management plans, and incorporating excellent employee communication channels.
- Develop appropriate Sales financial plans. Maintains statistics related to business objectives. Prepares statistical and narrative reports for local and corporate purposes.
- Liaise with clients and prospects as required during the sales and implementation process and provide an escalation point as required.
- Works with sales management on proposals, pricing and margin objectives as requested.
- Participate in or lead cross functional project teams to improve existing practices or drive new initiatives.
- Suggest and drive change initiatives to improve processes, productivity and effectiveness.
- Monitor and report market intelligence, provide input into product development and next best investments.
- Works as part of Executive Leadership Team, providing input to overall business strategy. Operates autonomously within agreed strategy and parameters.
- Works through direct reports. Will be expected to develop relationships with peers in similar roles across ADP business units and be able to control and /or influence staff, managers, and colleagues where no direct line authority exists.
- For direct reports will be responsible for the direction and supervision of staff with regard to training/coaching, compensation, motivation, development, and resourcing.
- Ensure sales tools are deployed and adopted.
- Leverage global and regional dashboards.
- Working closely with Implementation and Service Functions to establish clear communication and handover process to ensure smooth transition of clients between stages of service delivery. Will ensure that mutual business and client expectations are met.
Requirements
- Experience working within a matrix management structure for a US owned organisation preferred.
- Experience in developing and implementing initiatives designed to fuel growth.
- Minimum 7 years executive-level sales management experience in a complex operational/ implementation/ service delivery environment.
- Knowledge of a Payroll/HR software solution would be an advantage.
- Able to demonstrate strong awareness of general business skills including both people management and commercial/contractual interventions.
- Able to anticipate, identify and analyse problems and opportunities, establish priorities and efficiently allocate and utilise resources.
- Able to delegate and co-ordinate workloads at strategic/operational level in order to achieve overall objectives within time limits and agreed budgets.
- Must be able to demonstrate ability to review and measure progress against specific criteria and take necessary corrective action. Sufficiently flexible to adapt and respond to the needs of continuously shifting goals.
- Able to communicate effectively at all levels, including board level, and demonstrate personal integrity and professional authority in all dealings with colleagues and clients.
- Able to demonstrate sufficient professional credibility to act as ambassador for ADP and assist in establishment of brand within the market place.
Travel
- 50% (International and Interstate).
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent.
