Job description

Who We Are

At Kyndryl, we design, build, manage and modernize the mission-critical technology systems that the world depends on every day. So why work at Kyndryl? We are always moving forward – always pushing ourselves to go further in our efforts to build a more equitable, inclusive world for our employees, our customers and our communities.

The Role

As a Associate Director, Client Solutions Advisor, you will apply your knowledge of software, systems, and infrastructure design to guide innovative, market leading cloud managed services for public, hybrid and private clouds.

Partnering with Clients on their adoption of modern tech and ways of working, you will work with a variety of internal and external stakeholders in discovering business challenges and designing next-gen solutions. You will provide leadership and expertise in the design and engineering of new, innovative services and processes, frequently operating at the leading edge of technology.

The ideal candidate is a self-starter, adaptable to work in a varied, fast-paced, exciting, ever-changing environment, with the ability to make decisions based on information available, fail-fast and rework as needed.

Your X-Factor:

  • Create digital transformation and cloud adoption solutions for our customers. Have conversations with client C-Suite on transformation methods and planning.
  • Work as part of a dynamic team designing and delivering innovative, enterprise grade services in support of our customers.
  • Staying abreast of current and emerging technologies that can add to or enhance our services portfolio.
  • Participation as technical lead and advisor on workstreams and daily stand-ups, providing direction and mentoring engineers on architecture design, infrastructure configuration, engineering, and overall best practices.
  • Work closely with architects and offering managers to map out and execute against service roadmaps.
  • Assessment of technologies or products via combination of research, hands-on testing and vendor interactions.
  • Create system level architecture/design documentation for consumption by development squads.

Who You Are

You’re good at what you do and possess the required experience to prove it. However, equally as important – you have a growth mindset; keen to drive your own personal and professional development. You are customer-focused – someone who prioritizes customer success in their work. And finally, you’re open and borderless – naturally inclusive in how you work with others.

  • 5+ years of cloud experience using native services in AWS, Azure and/or GCP
  • 8+ years of experience as an engineer or architect working in large-scale, Enterprise-grade, application hosting environments.
  • Experience in providing public cloud transformation and modernization services in context of a client’s business.
  • Understanding application disposition and working with clients to aid them on their cloud migration roadmap and/or modernization journey.

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Experience in supporting customers with Cloud Adoption in context of their digital transformation.
  • Knowledge of Skytap, IBM Power systems and their migration to cloud.
  • Experience with configuration management tools including Ansible, Chef, etc.

  • Experience in advising and adapting everything as code principles for infrastructure and application operations.
  • Experience working on Agile/Scrum teams.
  • Experience with private and public Cloud APIs covering software defined IaaS technologies, Cloud native automation tools and PaaS.
  • Experience with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment like Git Actions, Azure DevOps.
