Semi-Senior Tax Accountant

GSCo strives to keep the firm at the leading edge of technology, providing each employee with a desktop (with dual monitors), laptop (with a secondary monitor), and a portable scanner for fieldwork engagements. In addition, all employees are provided with remote access capability. Hybrid and On-Site positions available, no total remote positions are available at this time.

The Responsibilities of the position are as follows

• Prepare individual, business estate & trust returns.
  
• Prepare and review internal client write-ups and closings.
  
• Interaction directly with clients.
  
• Prepare and review year-end W-2’s, 1099’s & 1098’s.
  
• Prepare payroll & sales tax returns.
  
• Train and mentor younger staff.
  

Requirements

Desired Skills and Experience Qualifications:

• Knowledge of Microsoft Office
  
• Knowledge of or willingness to learn ProSystem Fx Software Suite.
  
• Knowledge of QuickBooks desktop and online versions.
  
• Knowledge of or willingness to learn CCH Tax Access.
  
• 2-3 years of public accounting experience.
  
• Bachelor’s degree or master’s degree in accounting or equivalent.
  
• CPA license or active CPA candidate.
  
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  
• Strong organizational techniques are required.
  
• Must be highly motivated and experienced in managing multiple client engagements.
  
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
  
• Positions can be onsite or hybrid, no fully remote positions will be considered at this time.
