Job description

Flow is a layer one blockchain designed from the ground up as a platform for a new generation of Web3 apps, games, and the digital assets that power them. Flow is home today to millions of users and apps from top tier creators including Genies, Cryptoys, Doodles, and Dapper Labs (NBA, NFL, Disney) as well as industry leaders such as Mattel (Barbie, Hot Wheels), LiveNation / Ticketmaster, and many more.

The Flow Blockchain team is looking for an experienced Capital Markets Lead to spearhead investor relations efforts. This role is ideal for a proactive, strategic thinker who can navigate the capital markets, focusing on connecting with investors across Web2 and Web3 spaces. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in managing relationships with VCs, strategic investors, exchanges, market makers and institutional partners, providing essential support to our growth and efforts.

What we will accomplish together:
  • Relationship Management Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with current and prospective investors, acting as the primary contact for investor inquiries. Build trust and credibility with the investment community, ensuring a positive investor experience and consistent communication.
  • Identify and Engage Investor Targets Develop and execute a strategy to identify and engage potential investors, including Web2 and Web3 venture capitalists, corporate or strategic investors, and institutional funds. Focus on aligning investor profiles with the company’s strategic objectives and incubation projects.
  • Fundraising and Narrative Development Design compelling fundraising narratives that align with Flow and its ecosystem’s mission and business objectives. Prepare all necessary documentation to facilitate fundraising for companies in the Flow Ecosystem, including pitch decks, financial projections and business proposals.
  • Ecosystem Update Management Coordinate and manage regular ecosystem updates for Flow’s investor and partner community. Gather insights from cross-functional teams to create comprehensive updates that highlight milestones, technical advancements, and community engagement metrics. Proactively communicate changes, innovations, and trends within the Flow ecosystem, strengthening investor confidence and reinforcing Flow’s position as a leader in the Web3 space.
  • Project Management Manage and execute any ad-hoc projects or tasks as assigned, demonstrating adaptability and a proactive approach in a dynamic environment.
  • Capital Market Research and Trends Analysis Conduct in-depth research on capital markets and industry trends, specifically focusing on Web3 investment activity. Regularly update and present findings to the leadership team, providing actionable insights on capital flows, investor behavior, and market dynamics in the blockchain space.
  • Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement Act as a liaison between Flow Blockchain’s internal teams, venture capital partners, and institutional investors, ensuring cohesive communication and alignment on strategic initiatives. Facilitate collaboration with stakeholders to strengthen Flow’s position in the Web3 and blockchain ecosystem.

  • About you:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field; MBA or relevant postgraduate qualifications are a plus.
  • Experience in capital markets, investment banking, venture capital, high growth startups or similar fields, with a strong preference for candidates with Web3 or blockchain experience.
  • Deep understanding of capital markets, venture capital, and Web3 investment trends.
  • Strong network within the Web2 and Web3 investment communities, particularly with venture capital firms, corporate investors, and institutional funds.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft persuasive narratives for different investor audiences.
  • Strong analytical and financial modeling skills, with experience in preparing investor presentations.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across teams, manage multiple priorities, and adapt to a fast-paced, evolving environment.
  • Flow is a remote-first team of seasoned technologists dedicated to our mission of mainstream Web3 adoption. Founded in Vancouver, Canada, Flow’s team is now spread primarily across the US and Canada – with small presences in Europe, Asia, and the Middle East. Less than 6 months from now, Flow delivers Crescendo, its biggest technical upgrade since launching the network. Included in the Crescendo release is Cadence 1.0, a major upgrade of the Cadence programming language which enables fully immutable smart contracts on Flow; as well as full EVM equivalence, allowing Flow to host EVM-based smart contracts, platforms, tooling, and utilities natively and fully composable with the Cadence environments. With Crescendo, Flow will be as easy to deploy onto as any EVM-based Layer 2, while preserving the full capabilities of the rest of the protocol. Crescendo upgrade will catalyze a massive improvement in liquidity on Flow including on- and off-ramps as well as a native DeFi ecosystem that serves as a liquidity backbone for the entire network.

At Flow Foundation, we prioritize recruiting top talent and cultivating an empowering environment for our team. This entails fostering a workplace that is characterized by diversity, inclusivity, and open-mindedness. We enthusiastically welcome applicants from all walks of life, regardless of race, color, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, or disability.
