Position Summary
The Business Intel Developer III is an excellent opportunity at MultiCare, deploying complex and cross-functional enterprise-wide business intelligence solutions. In this position, you will be engaged in a wide array of dynamic functions from analysis, design, development and support.
Responsibilities
- You will develop collaborative partnerships to determine project requirements, achieve results and improve performance, utilize pragmatic and agile analysis and development principles to document and track project requirements
- You will provide timely and accurate estimates for analysis, design, development, testing, and deployment tasks while assisting others
- You will design, build and deploy actionable reporting solutions while following established standards while working independently
- You will compile and analyze operational information from various areas of the organization and develop integrated analyses and reports using complex analytical and database applications
- You will develop reporting solutions using tools and database development techniques to join key data for integrated analyses and reporting of data to all levels of the organizational leadership
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Healthcare Informatics or advanced technical equivalent certifications and experience
- Epic Reporting and/or Epic Application knowledge or certification
- Progressively responsible experience in Computer Systems related fields
- Minimum five (5) years’ experience in enterprise and business information system development, solution engineering, project management, and information application design and development. Qlikview and BOE/Crystal preferred
- Minimum five (5) years’ experience in development of BI strategies and associated policies and selection of capabilities and systems to meet business information needs
- Minimum five (5) years of experience in an analytics or development setting (data analysis/data visualization, graphic design, working with translating data into effective visualization); healthcare industry experience preferred
- Experienced in collaborating on technical work across multiple technology teams preferred
- Advanced experience working with data warehouse concepts
- Familiarity with open source software frameworks such as Hadoop, including for use with web and mobile application development
- Experience in project management techniques and support technology, applications, programs and services
- Experience with Agile development
- Advanced experience with healthcare systems such as Epic, Business Objects, and interfaces in hospitals and/or clinic settings or with a healthcare system vendor preferred
- Current Washington state driver’s license and proof of a safe driving record (which meets established MultiCare Standards) obtained by a motor vehicle report from the appropriate state

Pay and Benefit Expectations
We provide a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive salary, medical, dental and retirement benefits and paid time off. As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position. The pay scale is $107,723.00 - $148,782.00 USD. However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education. If this position is associated with a union contract, pay will be reflective of the appropriate step on the pay scale to which the applicant’s years of experience align.
