Job description

DESCRIPTION OF ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

Review, quote, process and service small account business at the agency (primarily through USLI) as well as providing quote, support, and service functions for the brokerage staff, GFB agents, and brokerage clients:

  1. Establish themselves as the small account expert in the office through product knowledge, quoting and superior customer service.
  2. Complete applications and qualify risks in an effort to quote new business. Quote risks that fit USLI appetite primarily through USLI phone/web systems and by submitting to underwriters when necessary. A benchmark will be least 3 submissions a day/15 a week into USLI.
  3. Create a prospect list of GFB agents and have at least 3 conversations per day/15 per week. These outbound phone calls are to solicit new business, quote follow-ups and develop relationships with existing customers.
  4. Create productive business relationships with the GFB agency force through visits to the agent’s office. Unsupervised visits will be determined based upon the employee’s progress in position/training and is expected to begin no sooner than after completion of 6 months in position but no later than 1 year in position. A benchmark will be 3 agency visits/month.
  5. Have a consistent closing ratio of 25% or
  6. Communicate the coverages and selling points effectively in an effort to sell the
  7. Recognize and understand cross selling opportunities and be able to refer to other teammates if necessary.
  8. Respond to customer emails and phone calls in compliance with agency service
  9. Perform support functions such as bind orders, payments, endorsements as necessary according to agency structure.
  10. Pursue continuing education and insurance designations/licenses as outlined in the training and development plan. This will require self-study.

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES/REQUIREMENTS:

Travel:

  • Occasional travel will be required including overnight
  • Candidate is expected to attend two-week insurance boot camp and participate in two-day annual sales conference in Wayne, PA
  • Must obtain a Georgia Agents Property and Casualty Insurance License within 3 months of Must maintain license in good standing while in this position.
  • Must possess a current and valid Driver’s License and maintain the license in good standing while in this position.
  • Continued involvement in insurance industry related continuing education is expected.
  • Valid GA driver’s license

QUALIFICATION, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Must hold & maintain an active GA Agent’s Property & Casualty License.   If not licensed, must obtain within 90 days of employment. 
  • Requires excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Must possess advanced skills with computers including experience with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Must possess the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Effective communication skills with agents, CSR, partner company reps and co-workers are required.
  • Must have a valid GA driver’s license
