About this Opportunity:

As a Qualified Plans Trading Manager, you will be a member of the Orion Portfolio Solutions Trading team and is responsible for managing the individuals providing administrative support for qualified retirement plans and their participants’ accounts at Orion Portfolio Solutions. As we continue to evolve and live our Orion values, we are looking for someone to grow with us.

For External Candidates:

Candidates must work in-office at one of the following locations for at least 3 days per week: Omaha, NE; Hebron, KY

For Internal Candidates:

All internal employees, regardless of their current work arrangement (remote or in-office), are encouraged to apply.

In this role, you'll get to:

  • Process and follow up on daily activity for qualified plans, including 401(k), 403(b), 457, Solo(k), Defined Benefit and SEP/Simple IRAs

  • Manage the team responsible for:

    • Daily reconciliation of participant accounts to match plan activity

    • Actioning advisor’s requests for changes to their client’s accounts

    • Entering redemptions and transfers; including systematic distributions

    • Processing contributions and loan repayments

    • Trading accounts to strategist or advisor directed models and maintaining fund availability for each

    • Performing trade corrections when needed

  • Maintain a daily routine to ensure all new plan functions and maintenance have been completed

  • Collaborate with vendors, representatives and/or internal clients to resolve issues regarding processing of new accounts

  • Cross-train on all related account types and provides back-up support as needed

  • Act in accordance with meeting the larger goals of the OPS Trading Team

  • Look for process improvements to improve scalability and reduce risk as the business continues to grow

  • Own projects assigned

We're looking for talent who:

  • Has ability to be proactive; have a desire to make improvements and increase scalability  

  • Preferably has minimum of a Bachelor’s degree Business Administration or a related field

  • Has FINRA Series 65 or ability to obtain within 90 days of employment

  • Obtains Orion Industry Certification

  • Has minimum of 3 years working in financial industry 

  • Preferably has minimum of 1 year of management experience

  • Preferably has experience working in qualified account role

  • Owns and manages relationships with stakeholders directly and work effectively with people at all levels in an organization

Salary Range:

$61,147.00 - $91,054.00

The pay listed in this posting indicates the estimated pay at the time of this posting; however, may vary depending on geographic location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
