Assistant Finance Manager

Remote Position (Philippines/Vietnam-based)

About Us

Our client is a leading Australian Accounting and Bookkeeping firm seeking an experienced Assistant Finance Manager to join our international team. This remote position offers the opportunity to work with Australian clients while being based in the Philippines or Vietnam.

Role Overview

As Assistant Finance Manager, you will oversee financial operations, manage client relationships, and ensure compliance with Australian tax regulations and accounting standards. This role combines technical expertise with client-facing responsibilities, requiring strong communication and project management skills.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage and review financial statements, tax returns, and compliance documents for Australian clients

- Oversee bookkeeping processes and maintain accurate records using Xero

- Lead and mentor team members across different time zones

- Provide strategic financial advice and solutions to clients

- Ensure compliance with Australian tax regulations and reporting requirements

- Manage client relationships and projects effectively

- Collaborate with Australian-based team members and stakeholders

Required Qualifications

- 4-5 years of demonstrated Australian accounting/finance experience

- Strong knowledge of Australian tax legislation and compliance requirements

- Advanced proficiency in Xero and related accounting software

- Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal

- Proven experience managing diverse client portfolios across various industries

- Strong project management and team leadership abilities
