Job Description

This is a short-term contract position that that will focus on supporting the legal department on a range of legal issues and projects. The ideal candidate will live near Phoenix, AZ but we are considering candidates nationwide. 

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Obtain and maintain business licenses, fictitious business name certificates, vehicle registrations and renewals, permits and other annual renewals.
  • Assist with insurance program compliance
  • Prepare initial drafts of franchise documents, non-disclosure and independent contractor agreements for General Counsel review
  • Format documents, proofread, draft letters and manage communications with outside agencies, company team members and contractors, and franchisees. 
  • Other duties as assigned by the Sr. Paralegal and General Counsel

Compensation:

  • $25-$40 per hour depending on prior experience

Qualifications
  • College degree and/or paralegal certification
  • Must have prior experience working as a paralegal in one or more positions in a busy, fast-paced environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 suite
  • Prior experience in an in-house corporate legal department setting a plus, but not required.
