We have a great opportunity for a Regional Sales Manager – Retail to join our can-do and driven field-based sales team. We offer a flexible, autonomous and inclusive working environment! The successful candidate will develop and expand sales for Saputo USA in the West Coast. The focus will be on the following activities to drive incremental growth and profit in Saputo USA product categories.
How you will make contributions that matter...
- Responsible for assigned core retail customer accounts. Owns the corporate customer relationships.
- Responsible for meeting assigned account(s)’s annual volume plan, profit plan, and subsequent quarterly forecast.
- Leverage Saputo’s full portfolio of products and services to introduce new value-creating ideas to Customers.
- Collaborate with customers and stakeholders to achieve desired outcomes for all parties. Responsible for planning and prioritizing customer initiatives for execution and coordination.
- Leverage insights to identify and advance opportunities for complex/large customers. Oversee category management initiatives at the region and customer level.
- Provide competitive market intelligence and feedback on new products launches.
- Gain multi-level and multi-functional account penetration, considering all relevant internal and external drivers to make profitable decisions.
- Execute agreements to deliver on customer expectations, while maximizing business value, anticipating challenges that might impact the implementation of customer agreements and identify mitigation tactics to prevent them.
- Conduct quarterly business reviews with assigned customers and relationship building.
- Plan, execute, close and follow up on negotiations in a manner that creates mutually beneficial outcomes, uncovering underlying customer and Saputo drivers.
- Negotiate field-based sales trade strategies and marketing programs.
- Maintain clear communication with Sales Operations on opportunities and challenges within assigned customers.
- Maximize sales margins by monitoring/assisting with A/R, credit issues, deductions, samples, etc.
You are best suited for the role if you have...
- Education – BS/BA Degree in related area. Not required but preferred.
- Experience – 5 plus years directly related experience in the food and beverage industry in any related exposure.
- Knowledge, skills and abilities should include: negotiation, insight-selling, presentation, communication, analytical, planning, and measurement in the food and beverage industry.
- Saputo and/or cheese and dairy product knowledge preferred.
- Food Broker Sales Agency experience preferred
- Home or corporate office environment.
- 50% travel. This role will cover west coast retailers and distributors.

Salary range: $102170 - $134100
Salary offers will vary commensurate with experience, education, skills and training.
