Backup & Storage operations 

The backup and storage team is responsible for managing and maintaining data integrity across various storage systems. Our key functions include implementing backup solutions to safeguard against data loss, ensuring regular backups are performed, monitoring storage performance, and optimizing storage capacity. We also develop disaster recovery plans to restore data quickly in case of hardware failures or data corruption, and work closely with IT and security teams to ensure compliance and data protection standards are met. Effective communication and collaboration with other teams are essential for mitigating risks and enhancing overall data management strategies.

Purpose

• Perform, coordinate and improve most complex activities (3rd level environment) needed to provide IT services and the supporting infrastructure in order to fulfill relevant KPI’s
• Plan, implement and maintain a stable technical infrastructure to support organization’s business processes
• Identify weaknesses in used processes and eliminate them following industry and internal standards.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

• Perform, coordinate and improve most complex activities needed to provide IT services and the supporting infrastructure in order to fulfill relevant KPI’s.
• Propose and perform regular inspections and improvement recommendations.
• Diagnose and resolve complex tickets or escalate complex tickets with direct/potential impact related to IT infrastructure.
• Investigate the root cause of complex incidents and then initiate actions  to improve or correct the situation.
• Evaluate, authorize, prioritize, plan, test, implement, document and review complex changes in controlled manner or escalate to higher authority.
• Assess actual performance of IT infrastructure against its predicted performance. Any deviations between the two should be understood and proactively remediated, with vendors if necessary.
• Create and maintain technical documentation to support IT service.
• Identify weaknesses in used processes and eliminate them following industry and internal standards.
• Plan, implement and maintain a stable technical infrastructure to support organization’s business.
• Serve as technical lead to provide clear and comprehensive release and deployment plans.
• Deliver effective training plans and concepts to train other employees and ensure their fulfillment.                                   

YOU WILL SUCCEED IF YOU:

• are experienced in ICT Application Operation & Management,
• have experience with storage and backup tools,
• have experience with Windows and Linux OS,
• have advanced networking skills, 
• have overview of the ITIL processes,    
• basic Administration both, Unix & Windows,
• Veeam backup solution administration,
• VMware vcenter & NSX basic administration,
• are willing to participate on on-call duties,
• are communicative, team player with analytical thinking,
• speak English – Upper intermediate (B2).

Salary

Final salary is negotiable.

We are offering base salary depending on seniority level and previous experience of candidate. In addition to base salary we provide variable part and other financial benefits. Base salary will not be lower than 1300€ /brutto.
