Overview

Part of the Hydrific team, you are a driving force behind an exciting business venture with a focus around water conservation, usage and sustainability in homes. Hydrific is focused on researching and solving problems in water-stressed regions across the globe, and you will help develop new products and solutions that make better living a reality for everyone, everywhere. This position is hybrid with 1-2 days onsite in Manhattan.

We are looking for an ambitious Test Engineer to join our team to test, deploy, and support the next generation of IoT water savings solutions. This role will take ownership of building out automated test platforms, working alongside Senior Software and Firmware Engineers to ensure quality of our software stack.

The ideal candidate is a tinkerer at heart, passionate about learning new technologies and solving problems with a wide variety of tools to create a real impact.

Hybrid 1-2 days onsite in Manhattan.

We’re using: Elixir, PostgreSQL, TimescaleDb, C++, Grafana, GraphQL, Flutter, AWS, and IoT technologies (MQTT, etc.).

Main Responsibilities:

  • Test Automation: Write, test, and deploy high-quality, robust, and scalable testing automation suites that provides full end-to-end integration testing of our IoT solution.
  • Quality Assurance: Provide QA support to manually test firmware and software releases and facilitate ongoing test converge.
  • Engineering Support: Provide engineering support for our deployed product to ensure issues in productions are diagnosed and addressed as fast as possible.
  • CI/CD Pipelines: Contribute to expanding our CI/CD pipelines. Work closely with Senior Engineering to ensure code coverage and CI pipelines are healthy and functional.
  • Collaborate: Work with Front-end, Back-end, Firmware, and Hardware engineering to understand user requirements to ensure system design, functional requirements, and quality are met.

Qualifications

Technical Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience in software development and test automation.
  • Extensive experience with test automation suites, such as Selenium, JUnit.
  • Extensive experience with CI/CD platforms such as Github Actions, Jenkins, or CircleCI.
  • Experience with providing Engineering Support for existing products and solutions.
  • Understanding of processing pipelines, APIs, and network protocols.
  • Strong commitment to quality with experience and emphasis on testing.
  • Excellent interpersonal & communication skills
  • B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent experience

Big Plus if you also have the following experiences:

  • Firmware development and IoT devices
  • Electrical engineering and basic electronics device prototyping

Hiring Range

The Hiring Salary Range for this position is $74,000.00-120,000.00

annually.

(Salary offer to be determined by the applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, location, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.)

Other Compensation (if applicable): This role will be eligible to participate in the annual Short Term Incentive plan.
