Job description

The HR Generalist plays a crucial role in supporting the Total Rewards sector of HR, with a strong emphasis on benefits administration and leave management. This individual plays a pivotal role in enhancing our employee value proposition through effectively managing benefits programs and leave policies, while also contributing to broader HR functions as necessary, helping to foster an environment of trust and engagement among our highly innovative employees.  

Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Benefits Administration:
    • Manage the enrollment, updates, and termination of employee benefit programs.
    • Serve as primary point of contact for employee inquiries regarding benefits.
    • Coordinate with benefits providers and vendors to resolve issues and enhance service.
    • Conduct monthly, quarterly and annual benefits audits to ensure accuracy and compliance
  • Leave Management:
    • Administer leave policies, including FMLA, ADA, short and long-term disability, and other leave types.
    • Process and track leave requests, maintaining accurate records of employees leave status.
    • Educate employees on leave policies, rights, and responsibilities.
    • Monitor leave utilization and recommend necessary improvements.
  • Employee Communication:
    • Develop and distribute benefits-related communications and materials.
    • Organize informational sessions or intranet postings for onsite benefit related clinics.
  • HR Support and Collaboration:
    • Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
    • Generate and analyze benefits utilization reports to assess program effectiveness to make informed decisions.
  • Payroll Support:
    • Accurately complete arrears for payroll processing each week
    • Maintain up-to-date records for employees on leave to ensure accurate payroll calculations each week.
  • General Administrative Duties:
    • Performing general administrative tasks such as answering phones, responding to emails, and scheduling meetings.

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or equivalent.
  • 1-3 years of relevant experience in administrative roles, preferably in human resources or related setting. 
  • Experience with HRIS (Human Resources Information Systems) software, or other HR-related tasked may be required or preferred. 
  • Ability to process information with high levels of accuracy and energy.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize workload.
  • Computer proficiency and ability to navigate between multiple programs.
  • Demonstrates an "All In to Win" attitude and displays self-motivation and a strong desire to learn within an unpredictable and demanding environment.
