Glovo is looking for a dynamic and analytical financial professional to support the Customer Compensations team in our headquarters in Barcelona. The Customer Compensation team’s goal is to maximize customer retention on our daily operations at a minimal cost, bringing the best return on investment for each of the Glovo markets. You will act and operate as the finance and controlling lead within the global team, providing both clear assessments of costs deviations and identifying saving and revenue opportunities for all Glovo countries, aggregating a budget of high double digit millions a year.
Be a part of a team where you will:
- Be the point of contact for the whole company in terms of Customer Compensations spend, deviations vs Business plan and cost saving opportunities
- Understand the operations model in Glovo to provide advice to the different teams in terms of Customer compensation spend to improve customer retention, orders and Glovo’s EBITDA
- Own the monthly global finance reporting to FP&A and VPs to review financial status, progress on projects and next steps
- Build the yearly Business and budget plan for all the Glovo countries and define the strategy together with the Head of Customer Compensations
- Coordinate with the different regional business analysts of the team to build together effective action plans to cancel deviations and tackle opportunities
- Work closely with the regional teams to identify issues and opportunities and define action plans to increase revenue or reduce costs
- Contribute to the business discussion by suggesting action plans, and be able to present business plans into senior stakeholders
- Report to the Head of Customer Compensations within the Operations team
You have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance or Accounting required
- +2 years of experience in Finance, Audit or related Controlling fields
- Proven track record, strong business acumen, problem solver, data-driven with an analytical approach, proactive and autonomous, good vibes & techie!
- G Suite expertise (Sheets, Presentations), Office Suite expertise (Excel)
- Ability to stay organized in a fast-paced environment, prioritize multiple projects, meet all deadlines, and is dependable with a sense of personal responsibility for quality work deliverables
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and adaptable to changing priorities
- Itchy feet and continuous thrive on learning through different projects
- Commitment to process improvement and exceptional attention to detail
- Hands-on profile and peace in mind to be discrete and handle sensitive or (most of the time) confidential information
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Professional English
Nice to have:
- Coding experience and proficiency in working with SQL
