In this role, you will be helping to extend the longevity of Husky equipment by installing products such as Encore and Refurbishment upgrades. These upgrades bring legacy injection molding equipment up to date with new technologies and control systems extending their operating lifespan.

Note: This position requires frequent travel throughout the USA during the business week, as well as some weekends. On occasion, there will be requirements to travel outside of the USA to support projects or for training.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and/or assist in the installation of aftermarket products such as Encore and ensure they are fully tested and functional.
  • Lead and/or assist in rebuilding hydraulic and mechanical systems related to injection molding machines.
  • Have the ability, or potential to learn how to ensure a machine is mechanically leveled and aligned prior to operation.
  • Troubleshoot electrical, software, and related hydraulic/pneumatic/servo-driven systems using schematics, working instructions, or by conferring with subject matter experts located in the call center or other teams.
  • Calibrate systems to ensure equipment meets the stated performance levels.
  • Maintain open communications with project stakeholders including the Project Engineer, Sales, and Customer in both verbal and written formats.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and attitude in all situations.
  • Mentor or guide junior technicians when working together.

Qualifications

  • Electromechanical degree or equivalent with at least 3 years experience working in an industrial setting.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical and hydraulic schematics for the purpose of understanding and troubleshooting related systems.
  • Experience working with PLC or industrial controllers to transfer software and/or diagnose fieldbus and sensor issues.
  • Ability to work within a team to accomplish a common goal, in both a lead and supporting role.
  • While familiarity with injection molding systems is preferred, it is not necessary.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
