Remote AP Seminar Teacher

We are a dynamic international education firm dedicated to supporting students from over 30 countries as they transition to U.S. schools. We are seeking a part-time AP Seminar Teacher to join our team.

We are looking for experienced educators who are passionate about guiding high school students in exploring real-world issues and honing their critical thinking skills. Our teachers may be asked to facilitate both private and group classes.

This is a part-time, hourly role, fully remote, with no travel required. Weekend availability is preferred. Compensation is competitive and commensurate with certifications and experience.

About the Course:

This interdisciplinary course teaches students to find and use evidence from experts, while effectively presenting their own perspectives through writing and multimedia presentations.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver engaging, interactive lessons that encourage students to read and analyze diverse texts, gather information, and view issues from multiple perspectives.
Monitor and assess students' progress, setting specific targets and adapting teaching methods to meet their individual needs.
Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that respects students' diverse cultural backgrounds and promotes active participation.
Guide students in crafting evidence-based arguments and presenting their findings effectively.
Maintain open communication with students and their families regarding progress and academic goals.
Participate in professional development activities and stay current on the latest AP Seminar teaching strategies and resources.

Required Skills and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Education, English, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
AP certification or equivalent experience in teaching AP courses.
At least 3 years of teaching experience in a similar role, preferably in an international or virtual school setting.
Strong command of the English language, both spoken and written.
