Job description

Summary

The Telemedicine Physician will be responsible for performing Baseline Visits, our Curative Health Plan intake visits focused on wellness, risk-assessment and prevention. These visits are performed within a 30 minute virtual visit. The visits include a targeted medical history. We advise the members on recommended next steps, including USPTF recommended screenings. The role does not include any ongoing care. We seek highly competent and professional physicians who are excellent communicators.

You are required to have an active and unencumbered medical license in at least one of the following states: California, New York, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, South Carolina, North Carolina or Virginia. Multi state medical licensure is highly desirable.

This is a remote 3 month contract position with the option to work anywhere within the US. Computer will be supplied by the company.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Obtain and accurately document a targeted medical history in the electronic medical record.
  • Provide preventative medical screening recommendations to patients, including advising on lifestyle habits, cancer screenings and immunizations.
  • Provide education on nutrition, physical activity and healthy living.
  • Interpret labs that are offered as part of the baseline visit.
  • Consult with the supervisory physician regarding urgent needs or complicated patients.
  • Carry out additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • current active and unencumbered medical license for one or more of the following states: New York, California, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, South Carolina, North Carolina or Virginia.
  • Board Certified in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine
  • detail oriented and able to multitask effectively.
  • excellent communication and written skills.
  • able to work both independently and as part of a collaborative environment.
  • comfortable with learning and using new technology and software.
  • reliable high speed internet and a workspace that is HIPAA compliant.

Preferred Experience/Qualifications

  • 2+ years hands on experience as a physician in a primary care setting
  • Multiple state licenses
  • Bilingual (Spanish)

EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK

10+ hours per week of availability

Hours to be discussed with the option to work evenings and weekends
