Job description

The Consultant Engagement Director (CED) is responsible for full-life cycle recruitment, initial screening, and ongoing connections with candidates. The CED works closely with a group of Evergreen’s consultant partners to cultivate and foster a partnership – ensuring consultants are supported throughout their project and engaged in the Evergreen Community. This role collaborates with Evergreen vertical leaders, as well as the leaders of our human resources and legal functions, to embrace a radical candor framework which supports the creation of authentic partnerships with peers, team members, and consultants.

The Consultant Engagement Director is a member of Evergreen’s Human Resources department as well as the Consultant Engagement vertical. This position reports to one of our Directors of Consultant Engagement. Work can be done either in-person in our Middleton, WI office, fully remote, or hybrid.


Full Life Cycle Recruitment

  • Conduct initial screening calls with candidates, evaluate candidate quality, and document screening notes.
  • Building a robust pipeline of available candidates within areas of ownership including BH reengagement, LI sourcing, pursuing referrals, conducting screens of new candidates
  • Collaborate with candidates to help identify potential positions, submit the candidate for those positions within 24 hours of the job being opened, and support them throughout the interview and onboarding process.
  • Determine consultant interest in new contracts or consideration of any other position.
  • Work closely with the Client Partnership team to drive consultant retention by managing communications with consultants about quality of work, extensions, and new opportunities.
  • Maintain up-to-date consultant data and information in Applicant Tracking system (Bullhorn) to ensure data is available to support communication, process, and reporting needs.
  • Communicate with candidates and consultants about Evergreen’s mission and story.
  • Prioritize and work on projects that might be assigned on an ad-hoc basis and assist with other corporate initiatives, as necessary.


Consultant Support

  • Conduct regular consultant check-ins , including a discussion about client work and project opportunities.
  • Provide feedback to consultants regarding work performance or other work-related issues.
  • Provide direction on career growth and opportunities to make consultants more marketable.
  • Determine if a consultant is not performing adequately and provide recommendation as to whether a consultant should be terminated from Evergreen.
  • Advocate for the consultants by representing their skills and interests during opportunity discussions
  • Serve as a member of the Engagement team and, as such, provide a consultant-oriented perspective for decision-making, vision-building, and strategic guidance in all areas within Evergreen.
  • Contribute to the implementation of engagement strategies and programs for consultants that result in employee happiness, loyalty, and retention.

  • Assist and back up other colleagues when necessary.
  • Embrace change as Evergreen scales systems and processes.
  • Attend Evergreen’s in-person annual retreat one time per year.


Qualifications

  • 5+ years of professional experience, or 2+ years of experience as a Consultant Engagement Manager
  • Intermediate knowledge and experience using Microsoft 365 products: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and Outlook.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and diplomacy.
  • High attention to detail, including strong time management, analytical, organizational, and active listening skills.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate across levels to align and motivate a cross-functional team.
  • Skilled in planning, organizing resources, and establishing priorities for multiple work assignments.
  • Demonstrated willingness to contribute ideas and challenge processes to drive improvements.
  • Consistently act with urgency and persuasion.


Ability to:

  • Thrive and be proactive in a fast-paced environment with a fair amount of ambiguity and shifting priorities.
  • Build rapport and credibility with a wide-range of individuals in a short period of time.
  • Maintain composure and a positive attitude when challenged or presented with feedback.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience working in the healthcare IT industry
  • Prior experience in a talent acquisition role.
  • Experience using an Application Tracking System (Bullhorn).
  • Experience using LinkedIn Recruiter.
