What you’ll do

As a member of our team, you will:

• Be responsible for designing large-scale, distributed systems that are highly available, scalable, and secure.
• Develop strategies for system optimization, performance tuning, and the evolution of existing architecture.
• Contribute to hiring, mentoring, and guiding engineers at all levels.
• Take ownership of the entire software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering and design to implementation, testing, deployment, and monitoring.
• Establish and maintain coding standards and practices, ensuring the quality, reliability, and maintainability of codebases. You will lead code reviews and drive continuous improvement in code quality.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Product Managers, ML Engineers, Front-end Engineers, and QA Engineers, to design and deliver complex features and systems.
• Research, prototype, and implement new technologies and approaches to solve complex technical challenges.
• Serve as a technical lead in incident management and response, ensuring the quick resolution of critical production issues and preventing recurrence through systematic root cause analysis.

What you'll need

• 8+ years of experience in designing and developing backend systems
• Expertise in Java and Spring (or equivalent) frameworks, with a strong understanding of design patterns, object-oriented principles, and application architecture.
• Strong knowledge of databases—both SQL and NoSQL—experience in optimizing queries, designing schemas, and scaling database systems.
• Experience with distributed systems and familiarity with key technologies like caching, queuing systems, and search technologies.
• Excellent knowledge of cloud architectures, especially AWS or GCP
• Proven leadership experience in guiding engineering teams, leading complex projects, and delivering large-scale solutions.
• Deep expertise in software engineering best practices, including design patterns, testing, CI/CD pipelines, and microservices architecture.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills, capable of working across teams and departments to deliver solutions aligned with business goals.
