Job description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Program Director to join our team. As a Program Director, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing large-scale programs in the government contracting industry. You will work closely with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of programs and projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Planning, organizing, and executing large-scale programs.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define program objectives, deliverables, and timelines.

  • Ensure compliance with government contracting regulations and processes.

  • Monitor program progress and performance and identify and mitigate risks and issues.

  • Provide leadership and guidance to program team members, motivating and inspiring them to achieve program goals.

  • Foster effective communication and collaboration among team members and stakeholders.

  • Make informed decisions and solve problems to ensure the successful delivery of programs.

  • Manage program budgets, resources, and schedules.

  • Prepare and present program status reports to stakeholders.

  • Continuously improve program management processes and practices.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., business administration, project management, engineering) is required; a master's degree is preferred.

  • At least 10 years of experience in program management, preferably supporting Department of the Navy programs.

  • Clearance: Active Secret Required

  • Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale programs (>$50M) and leading cross-functional teams.

  • Background and experience managing large-scale materials procurements

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members.

  • Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and deadlines.

  • Ability to travel locally (DMV) up to 25% of the time.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience with Navy Afloat programs

  • Experience and knowledge with manufacturing operations
