Role Summary:
The Director of Procurement & Real Estate oversees the strategy and execution of buying supplies and equipment for Gen4 practices. This person will work closely with vendors and suppliers to negotiate the best prices, quality, services, and acceptable delivery timelines. The Director of Procurement & Real Estate will also work cross-functionally across the organization managing post-acquisition leasing matters, facilities & equipment repairs and maintenance and facility capital projects.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Develops and implements strategic budgeting, forecasting, and processes for purchasing clinical supplies, office supplies, dental equipment, repairs, and labs.
Builds relationships with various vendors to receive competitive pricing and quality products and negotiate contracts and pricing, review bids, and establish payment terms.
Meets with various types of suppliers and attends trade shows and conferences to seek out new suppliers to track trends in the industry
Onboards all new locations immediately upon acquisition to ensure new location receives Gen4 discount pricing and help new location transfer accounts under their Gen4.
Establishes best practices for supply inventory management working closely with operational and clinical teams on planning and forecasting.
Establishes and maintains measurable performance metrics for all levels of procurement activities including but not limited to supplier performance, supplier quality, internal order placement performance, buyer activity levels, financial (AP) performance, and material shortage elimination.
Responsible for strategic planning of capital expenditure budgeting and spending for Gen4. Collaborating with operations, clinical, and finance in reoccurring settings as needs arise.
Optimize space utilization and oversee property management team identifying best strategies for cost and operational efficiencies.
Responsible for equipment & facility repair/maintenance activities
Corporate lead for facility projects including renovations, consolidations, divestures, and expansions.
Manage Gen4’s real estate portfolio including lease negotiations, renewals, early terminations and landlord relations.
Create and maintain a corporate contract repository. Collaborating with department heads and senior leadership on renewing, terminating, and negotiating vendor contracts ensuring they align with business needs.

Education, Experience & Skills/Abilities:
A Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business administration, purchasing management, or a related field of study is preferred
Minimum of 3 years of dental experience
Understand basic accounting principles
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
Strong communication, presentation, and organizational skills - written and oral

Working Environment & Physical Requirements
Working conditions include those typically seen in an office environment. Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
This position does require travel to various practices, meetings, and tradeshows less than 10% of the time.
