Job description

We are looking for an experienced Accounts Assistant for a client located in Malta

This is a full time remote work on a consultancy contract that pays a Net Salary of 80K per month with 13th month pay

Schedule is 5 PM to 1 AM  Manila Time Mon to Fri

At least 3 years of Experience requiredThe Accounts Assistantis required to work closely with the Finance Director and the rest of the team in relation to the internal financial accounting functions of the Contractor as well as assisting with bookkeeping and financial administration of the Contractors clients.

The Accounts Assistant shall be contracted to provide support as follows:

  • Maintaining client accounting records up to trial balance stage
    Issuing invoices for entities within the organization
  • Assisting with month end related tasks, such as reconciliations and uploading of journals
  • Reviewing and managing accounts receivable
  • Processing and managing accounts payable
  • Inputting bank entries
  • Setting up payments on banking portals
  • Assist with the electronic filing of all accounting documents
  • Providing general finance and administration support to the team
  • Carrying out other ongoing ad-hoc projects and tasks as they arise
  • Training in relation to trusts and non-Malta jurisdictions will be given if necessary.

  • An accounting professional qualification
  • Minimum of three years relevant work experience
  • Versatile and flexible attitude with the ability to communicate well with all levels of staff and clients
  • Well organised with exceptional attention to detail
  • Strong IT skills
  • Excellent command of English both written and spoken
  • Able to draft a set of financial statements including Statement of Financial Position, Income Statement and Cashflow from bank accounts and invoices etc
  • Reconciliation of bank accounts
  • Accruals and Prepayment scheduling
  • Preparation of Management Accounts
  • Liaising with auditors

    Computer Systems: Contractor uses Microsoft, Microgen 5Series, and Quickbooks.
    Training will be given where required
