Job Description

We currently require a part-time Council Tax Reduction/ Housing Benefit Business Consultant to join our established team, the role will be part-time, working Monday to Thursday.

The Consultancy team comprises consultants with specialist knowledge of systems and services including NEC’s Local Government Revenues & Benefits products, Data Migration Services, Systems Integration and Interfaces. 

The successful candidate will bring their skills and experience in Council Tax Reduction & Housing Benefit to extend the capabilities of the team and will be keen to both share and extend their own knowledge within the team.

Qualifications

Essential Skills

  • Expertise and extensive up-to-date knowledge in the following business area
    • Benefits (CTR/CTS and Housing Benefits)
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to problem solve in demanding circumstances.
  • Ability to work on your own or part of a team and on multiple projects in parallel.
  • UK Driving license and willing to work away from home as required.

Desirable Skills

  • Integration / Interfaces (with NEC R&B products)
  • Experience of working with customers and / or external agencies.
  • Experience of delivering training and / or seminars.
  • Experience of Processing within NEC
  • Recent Experience of System Administration processes within NEC
