A Junior Systems Administrator should be highly organized, process oriented and possess strong written and verbal communication skills. Here is the type of work you will do:


The Junior Systems Administrator works directly with the IT team to support the system administration for the organization. The Junior Systems Administrator must be able to:

  • Process all internal system access requests daily from the team and adhere to agreed upon turn-around times. 
  • Support the internal team on system related questions that are surfaced to the candidate directly, or via group forums such as Slack and Front. The candidate is the first point of contact before escalation to the IT Manager, outside vendors, or service providers.
  • Complete systems setup for all new clients within an expedited timeframe agreed upon with the onboarding team and communicate once complete. 
  • Adhering to all systems compliance requirements as outlined by our SOC report and raising any potential issues or concerns around compliance. 
  • Maintain accurate and current documentation of systems controls and process documentation for current company systems.
  • Prepare and execute a monthly systems audit to ensure all client and staffing changes have been made in a timely manner both within our systems as well as our shared tracking sheets. 
  • Complete new hire set up and departing employee off boarding for all employee systems within the agreed upon timeframe of completion. 
  • Become highly proficient in all company-wide systems and stay up-to-date on system updates as well as outages in order to proactively communicate with the team.  


The salary range for the Junior Systems administrator position is $55,000 - $70,000 per annum.  Salary is determined based on current market data and candidate experience level.

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field (or equivalent work experience)
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in systems administration
  • Comfortable with software systems including Gsuite, Microsoft Office, Box, Slack, LastPass 
  • Strong problem-solving skills and able to trouble-shoot issues in real-time
  • Must be self-motivated, able to work independently, and comfortable working with remote teammates
  • Must be detail-oriented, organized, service-focused, thoughtful, and excellent at both written and verbal communication
