JOB SUMMARY:

We are seeking a highly skilled and strategic leader with Project Management and Oracle Fusion expertise to join our finance department and support our growing global accounting organization. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Oracle Cloud solutions, work independently, communicate effectively, and play a crucial role in optimizing our IT infrastructure. This role is ideally located in Boston, MA or Durham, NC, and can be fully remote on the East Coast, working East Coast hours. #LI-REMOTE

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Define and deliver functional requirements for financial systems to ensure alignment with business / technology needs.  Primary focus is on Oracle Cloud ERP and integrations with other key systems.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to understand strategic changes to business process or systems and help deliver solutions.  Support management in the broader digital finance strategy for the organization.
  • Adapt existing processes / system configurations to create efficient solutions to solve complex business problems. Plan, prioritize, and schedule development of feature rollout and enhancement requests.
  • Create and maintain user guides for each functional area and deliver training to cross functional teams.
  • Lead small to large scale projects for a portfolio of programs.
  • Support design reports and dashboards to address business needs and streamline month-end close procedures.
  • Create and communicate long-term vision of assigned systems by documenting, analyzing, and prioritizing business requirements from business needs.
  • Lead all phases of the software lifecycle from requirements gathering to hyper-care.  Ensure effective and efficient meetings such as stand-ups, project kickoff, release planning, UAT, training, delivery, and retrospectives.
  • Produce and present key materials without direct supervision, such as business requirement documents, use cases, Functional designs, and process diagrams.
  • Define and document end to end system flow and integration requirements (e.g. API's, data flow).
  • Partner with the Business Systems team to maintain segregation of duties, user permissions and role access though regular SOX and security audits.
  • Curate training programs for finance users to develop a thorough understanding of Oracle cloud modules and the flow of data throughout the ERP. Help establish subject matter experts for each module to support the broader team.
  • Maintain an understanding of and continuously learn about advancements in regulations, technology and innovations across Finance and Accounting.
  • Monitor flow of support tickets for various products related to the Finance Systems application portfolio. Where required, troubleshoot issues, and stay engaged with our end users.
  • Serve as Oracle SME for the accounting team. Provide training and share best practices across the team to drive productivity.
  • Lead Oracle projects leveraging project management tools to deliver projects on time, with clear communication of milestones and deliverables to all stakeholders. Coach the accounting team on Project Management best practices and tools.

 

Experience and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and 12+ years of combined finance and ERP implementation/design/consulting experience.
  • Solid understanding of how business process and finance functions interact to prepare complete and accurate financial statements.
  • Solid understanding of ITGCs and SOX audit processes required.  Experience as an IT Auditor at Big 4 preferred.
  • CPA preferred.
  • Project management certification (PMP) preferred.  Proven project management experience required.
  • Extensive experience working across the Oracle Cloud ERP (Fusion)– General Ledger, Supply Chain, Procurement, Payables, Receivables, Intercompany, Cash, Assets, BI Reporting, etc.
  • Experience designing and maintaining integrations with external systems such as UKG, Concur, FloQast, Workiva and various third parties (i.e. contract manufacturers, 3PL and distributors).
  • Expertise delivering functional and technical solutions on complex engagements. 
  • Demonstrated ability to clearly communicate, lead key requirement workshops, document, and understand requirements.
  • Experience working in a publicly traded company (global experience preferred but not required).
  • Experience working in life sciences preferred with experience in supply chain, inventory and cost experience within Oracle required.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects, assignments and/or responsibilities.
  • Results-driven, team-oriented member/leader that is highly organized, detail-oriented, and thorough with an exceptional ability to follow projects through to completion.
  • Action orientation - demonstrating bias towards action and show a willingness to roll up your sleeves and get hands on when needed.
