As part of the global Operations function, UpGuard’s Finance team's mission is to deliver timely and accurate financial reporting to aid management in decision-making and ensure that the company has adequate internal controls to ensure that financial reporting can be relied on by internal and external users. We execute this by creating a budget that supports the short and long term vision of the company, reducing operating expenses utilizing financial data and automation, and providing accurate financial results to business users to enable them to make the best decisions.

Why are we Hiring ?
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team for a 6-month maternity backfill contract. The ideal candidate will be responsible for a range of financial and administrative tasks, ensuring smooth operations during the absence of the current role holder. The candidate will work closely with the Finance Department to manage key accounts, invoicing, and various financial processes.

What will you accomplish?
  • Cash clearing of multiple bank accounts
  • Obtain monthly legal expense estimates from outside counsel and prepare journal entry
  • Accrued Expenses Monitoring : Oversee and update accrued expenses on a monthly basis, ensuring accuracy in financial records
  • Credit Card Payables and Bank Upload: Manage credit card bank statement upload and cash clearing on a regular basis
  • Sales Tax Payable and Credit Card Schedule: Update and monitor the sales tax payable and the credit card schedule on a monthly basis
  • Invoicing and Collections: Handle the daily invoicing, processing of deals to closed-won, billing customers, and managing collections to assigned region
  • Ad-hoc Financial Tasks: Assist with various financial or administrative tasks and reconciliations as needed

  • What do we need from you?
  • Proven experience in finance, accounting, or related field - 2 to 4 years 
  • Proficiency with accounting software and financial tools, preferably Xero, Google sheets 
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Experience in billing and collections and cash clearing  is a plus
