Are you a backend engineer with a fondness for production? An SRE who also likes to design and code? Observable is seeking a full-time infrastructure engineer to help design, build, and manage Observable’s cloud systems as we accelerate and grow. Our team is fully remote and we strive to foster a culture that is collaborative and data-driven while being fast-paced.

Our platform empowers developers to create best-in-class dashboards, applications, and reports. We have a large community of data practitioners who love Observable, and we are building on this success to bring Observable to more teams and businesses of all sizes.

What you will do

Design and implement new infrastructure and processes to support Observable’s growing cloud services and features.

Perform site reliability and infrastructure maintenance work for existing Observable production and staging environments. (Manage servers! Tweak WAF rules! Optimize SQL queries! And more!)

Participate in the dev team’s oncall rotation, monitoring Observable systems and responding to production issues.
