Your missions

We are seeking a knowledgeable and experienced remote BigFix Administrator to join our IT team. The ideal candidate will manage and support the customer’s BigFix environment, ensuring efficient endpoint management and compliance across the organization. This role will involve system monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimizing the BigFix infrastructure to meet the needs of the customer’s dynamic IT environment. The BigFix Administrator will be expected to create and manage fixlets to address identified vulnerabilities and ensure the security and stability of the customer’s systems. Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues related to BigFix will be a significant part of the role, along with collaborating with IT teams to create automated solutions for endpoint management.

support provided. The right candidate will exemplify a positive attitude, friendly communications,
demonstrate patience, proper business attire, ensure timely response and resolutions, ensure
comprehensive documentation to tickets and all work products, meets scheduling commitments and
facilitates cross-functional activities as needed to reach a prompt resolution.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Administer and maintain the BigFix platform, including deployment, configuration, and patch management.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures for software deployment, asset management, and endpoint compliance.
  • Monitor BigFix servers and endpoints to ensure operational efficiency and performance.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to BigFix, including client-server communications and configuration errors.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to develop and deploy automated solutions for endpoint management and reporting.
  • Create and maintain documentation for BigFix processes, configurations, and best practices.
  • Stay current with BigFix updates and industry trends to recommend improvements and enhancements.
  • Train and support team members on BigFix functionalities and best practices.
  • Assist in security assessments and compliance audits related to endpoint management.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
  • Proven experience as a BigFix Administrator or similar role.
  • Strong understanding of endpoint management, patch management, and software distribution.
  • Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python) for automation tasks.
  • Experience with Windows and Linux operating systems.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., IBM BigFix, ITIL) are a plus.
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience with other endpoint management tools (e.g., SCCM, Ivanti).
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices and compliance requirements.
  • Familiarity with database management and SQL queries.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with HCL Bigfix and Tenable Nessus
