Intermediate Data Analyst

Role Summary

Advances in data analytics and visualization are revolutionizing the way businesses operate. Tangam Systems is a leader in driving that transformation in the gaming industry.

As the newest member of our Casino Analytics team, you will master the Tangam analytics and visualization software and independently construct customer-facing analyses. You will use your data analytics skills to create recommendations on how clients can improve their operations - optimizing their games offered, pricing strategy, labour allocation, and general operations to increase their profitability by 10% - 15%. You will travel onsite for new customer rollouts of Tangam’s software, working alongside our Account Managers.

As part of a growing, collaborative analytics team, you will learn and develop new skills, and coach others using your own expertise.  With skills in data visualization, SQL, Python, and Excel, you will become confident in your ability to handle any type of analytical request.

Requirements

• Good communicator. Strong written/oral communication. Ability to explain complex ideas and statistical concepts in a clear, concise manner.
• Data wizard. 2+ years of experience in data analysis. Proficient with Excel. Experience working with business intelligence tools such as Tableau or equivalent. Knowledge of relational databases with the ability to read and write SQL.
• Educated. Any undergraduate degree with strong applied mathematics.
• Must have no criminal record and must be willing and able to travel ~5% of working time.

Nice to haves

• Experience using Tableau.
• Experience with building and/or using data models.
• Proficiency in spoken and written French/Mandarin/Cantonese.

• Base salary of $60K - $80K + performance-based bonuses
