Your Mission

As a Senior Frontend Engineer at Wheel the World, you will be responsible for designing and implementing cutting-edge web applications that shape the future of travel experiences. You will take ownership of frontend development, collaborating with cross-functional teams to align with business requirements and contribute to technical decisions that align with overall project goals.

Your role will involve writing clean, efficient, and well-documented code, actively participating in code reviews, and implementing testing processes for high-quality software. You will also identify and address performance bottlenecks in frontend applications to ensure optimal loading times and seamless user interactions.

Finally, you will ensure that frontend applications are accessible and inclusive, complying with relevant web accessibility standards.

💡 Responsibilities (up to 8)

• Take ownership of frontend development, designing and implementing robust, scalable, and maintainable web applications using modern web technologies and frameworks.
• Work cross-functionally to align with business requirements and contribute to technical decisions that align with overall project goals.
• Identify and address performance bottlenecks in frontend applications to ensure optimal loading times and seamless user interactions.
• Stay updated with emerging technologies, bringing new ideas and best practices to the team.
• Provide guidance to junior engineers, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented team environment.
• Ensure frontend applications are accessible and inclusive, complying with relevant web accessibility standards.

💡 This position is for you if (up to 5

• 5+ years of professional frontend development experience.
• Desirable experience in javascript, react, next.js.
• Proficiency in modern web technologies and frameworks.
• A track record of setting up and enforcing backend coding standards and best practices, with a focus on mentoring other engineers.
  
• Passion for travel and technology, with an eagerness to contribute to the travel-tech industry.
• Proven experience working in product-driven companies, with a strong understanding of both technical and business perspectives. Candidates should demonstrate the ability to align technical solutions with business goals, ensuring that development efforts contribute to the overall success of the product and company.
