THE ROLE

 

The Shopper Marketing Manager will play a strategically pivotal role in our successful professional and consumer penetration growth via our omnichannel scale up and market share growth plans across Retail Hair, Professional & Consumer Nail and Professional and Consumer Premium Haircare channels. Working closely between CMI, Global & Local Brand Teams and in collaboration with our Commercial Teams, the Shopper Marketing Manager will devise, develop and deliver best in class in store experience across our multi-channel retailer business to excite, inspire, educate & disrupt the shopper journey, ultimately driving store productivity & penetration.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

 

    • Be the expert for the in-store shopper marketing experience across the business, ensuring you combine strong retailer understanding with shopper marketing insights & our strategic goals to deliver a shopper experience strategy for each of our priority brands that interests, excites, disrupts, inspires & educates the shopper journey, ultimately driving consideration, conversion & customer penetration (primary KPI).
    • Work with the Brand Marketing teams to develop permanent and campaign based visual merchandising solutions to drive physical availability, shelf impact and conversion in the store shopping environment for Pro Care, OPI & Retail Hair IMP with responsibility for Capex plans
    • Project manage the design development and deployment in line with our IMP plans, working with local agencies and our production partners to ensure best in class and on brand execution including leading many global pilots.
    • Working across all B&M channels including but not limited to grocery, high street, premium retail, department stores, DSO salons, National Accounts and ISO
    • Ensure global merchandising guidelines & toolkits are converted into suitable executions arbitrating between global, regional, brand & commercial teams as the retailer interface to get sign off and alignment.
    • Working with Trade Marketing Team to outline the proposals as part of the Go to Market strategy ensuring space plans, both permanent and temporary fit the global & retailer guidelines and hand over to Trade Marketing or commercial teams to deploy for each retailer
    • Develop and drive the store execution parts of the Flagship Project ensuring we deliver plans that showcase the best expression of our brand across salon, retail and wholesale.
    • Follow process to ensure all materials produced are on brand and have the appropriate brand, legal and regulatory sign off.
    • Ensure regular analysis of the performance of in store execution considering store vs estate performance and SKU performance uplift analysis, run rate analysis and planning AB testing to assess what elements of the execution are driving different behaviours.
    • Work closely to deploy any insight / shelf testing / customer shopper research to inform thinking and track performance vs objectives
    • Track and manage CAPEX and POS budget in A&CP to ensure we maximise physical availability investment plan to meet our goals (in case of RH working with Ass Brand Manager on POS deployment due to complexity)

    • Growth in B&M sales, run rates, space productivity, brand ranking vs competitors, store sales uplifts, customer penetration and market share in retailers with refitted vs non fitted stores
    • On time delivery of store roll out plans involving permanent merchandising deliverables
    • On budget delivery of all plans
    • Alignment of executions to global guidelines & local best practice
    • Delivery of global best in class merchandising and brand visual merchandising execution examples

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS

 

    • Experience in Shopper Marketing
    • Capable in financial and insight led data analysis and performance reporting
    • Solid Communication & Presentation Skill
    • Strong Organisational Skills
    • Can work autonomously and collaboratively
    • Strong Attention to Detail
    • Brand Guardian and custodian
    • Strong visualization skills (ideally with digital design capabilities i.e. photoshop)
    • Experience in handling budgets
    • Experience in artwork management
    • Bring data & insights to drive shopper first thinking Category experience an added benefit
