Objectives:
The Apparel Graphic Designer will use their savvy creative design skillset to create head-turning graphic art for Antigua’s evolving apparel collections. You will work closely with Antigua’s Apparel Design team to create design art concepts and bring them to life through your creative art designs.
Responsibilities:
1) Coordinate and manage an organized art file library for each division within the company.
2) Produce Production Art (Pitch Sheets/Factory Art).
3) Collaborate closely with the Apparel Design team reviewing print strike-offs during development and assisting in the development comments sent back to suppliers.
4) Creating graphic art for seasonal tread boards, development presentations, and various creative graphic needs throughout the development calendar.
5) Support Design team in filling CAD bodies and learning to assort color pallets using seasonal trend colors.
6) Recolor existing print artwork and create new artwork for placement graphics and allover prints.
7) Participate in cross-functional meetings to gain an understanding of company processes and business needs.
8) Utilize the PLM system to assist in graphic management during the buildout of tech packs for seasonal styles and colorways.
9) Conduct graphic trend research and development for new seasons to continuously improve graphic art design quality and effectiveness.
10) Manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in graphic design preferred or a related field
• 3+ years of experience in Graphic Design
• Advanced Adobe Illustrator skills and ability to create vector patterns/graphic repeats
• Must be experienced in creating and editing Production Art (Pitch Sheets/Factory Art)
• Understanding of apparel development and manufacturing process and timelines a plus
• Working knowledge of PLM development system
• Able to multi-task is imperative and able to work with deadlines with a sense of urgency
• Must work well with others and can delegate & manage time properly, proactively troubleshoot, and problem-solve
• Detail-oriented with excellent follow-up skills which include accuracy and precision
• Able to build strong relationships with suppliers and other external groups
• Able to work independently and be a self-starter
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
