Role Overview:

We're looking for a highly motivated individual with a strong work ethic and the ability to work in a collaborative, fast-paced, changing environment. As Associate Director, Logistics Systems Architecture will play a pivotal role in the design implementation and management of architecture systems. This position works in close coordination with Digital Technology, managing projects from conception to post-implementation, and ensuring the standardization and optimization of the process.

What You Will Do:

  • Logistics System Architecture: Design and implementation of logistics systems architecture, including Transportation Management System (TMS), Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), and data warehouse infrastructure, coordinating with Enterprise Services.

  • Manage project scope, business case development, external market analysis, and risk assessments throughout the system implementation lifecycle.

  • Lead the technology selection processes, ensuring alignment with business objectives and future scalability requirements.

  • Project management: Determine project scope and requirements in collaboration with stakeholders. Develop comprehensive business cases to justify project investments. Conduct external market analyses to inform project direction and technology selection.

  • Technology selection and implementation: Evaluate and select appropriate technologies to meet project requirements. Oversee the implementation of chosen technologies, ensuring they meet project specifications and performance standards.

  • Process design and standardization: Design and standardize processes to ensure system efficiency and effectiveness. Develop and implement best practices for system design and operation.

  • Project execution and governance: Project execution, ensuring timely and within budget delivery. Establish and maintain post-implementation governance to ensure integrity and performance.

  • Data collection and utilization: Ensure appropriate data collection mechanisms are in place for system monitoring and evaluation. Utilize collected data to optimize system performance to inform future project decisions.

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Typically requires a Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business Analytics, Business Administration or related discipline. Advanced degree preferred.

  • Minimum 12 years of experience in supply chain system architecture, project management, and data analytics within the aerospace and defense or manufacturing industry, or minimum 10 years with an advanced degree.

  • Proven track record of successfully leading complex system implementation projects, from conception to post-implementation governance.

  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

  • ​Demonstrated ability to communicate at all levels of an organization, as well as the ability to manage cross-functional / cross-business unit teams

The salary range for this role is 143,000 USD - 287,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
