Location 

This is a hybrid position.  You can expect to work at the Airport Office Building three days per week, and work from home two days per week.  Given the needs of our airline tenants, the specific scheduling requirements may vary week by week.

What You’ll Do

Denver International Airport (DEN) is the third-busiest airport in the United States and one of the top ten busiest airports in the world, connecting our community globally through flight and business. Key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing all airside and landside airline agreements at DEN.
  • Acting as liaison to airline consultants, tenants, governmental entities and Airport departments on capital development projects, lease negotiations, and other airline related matters.
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with local and corporate airline partners.
  • Planning and implementing short and long-term business plans and projects, goals and objectives that generate new revenue opportunities and strengthen the relationship with existing airline tenants, while ensuring the highest and best use of DEN's limited commercial space.
  • Directing the revenue-generating development of airline real estate in DEN’s Jeppesen terminal, three concourses, as well as the cargo, fuel, catering, ground support equipment and fixed based operator facilities.
  • Ensuring a business-friendly operating environment with clear policies, procedures, and expectations for tenants, business partners, and DEN staff.
  • Reviewing leases and contracts to ensure compliance with terms and conditions expressed therein.
  • Researching relevant markets and financial trends to forecast future business activity, best practices and develops recommendations. Conducts financial analyses to support negotiations to obtain percentage rentals or shared revenues from leases or other forms of agreements covering use of land for such projects to maximize DEN's revenues.
  • Coaching, mentoring, and challenging the five staff members in the Airline Affairs section. Championing continuous improvement, including devising new strategies and new opportunities. Leading staff development initiatives that include training, development and succession planning. Establishing performance expectations and standards for all levels of employees to achieve or exceed performance metrics and preparing them for the future.
  • Representing the organization's positions, initiatives and interests with a focus on the delivery of superior customer service; ensuring staff is sufficiently knowledgeable and dynamic regarding customer service protocols.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education requirement: Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field based on a specific position.
Experience Requirement: Five (5) years of experience managing in retail, food and beverage, commercial property, car rental, parking and ground transportation businesses, airline affairs, or a related industry, which must have included management of subordinate supervisors.
Education/Experience Equivalency: Two (2) years of the appropriate type and level of experience may be substituted for each required year of post-high school education.
