Job Overview

We are thrilled to announce an opportunity for a Senior Mortgage Loan Processor to join our dynamic team of dedicated lending professionals in a fully remote capacity. This role is ideal for individuals with a strong commitment to client service, exceptional organizational skills, and an acute attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities

• Procure and organize essential third-party documentation necessary for residential home loans.
• Develop and maintain thorough mortgage loan files.
• Assist underwriters by addressing any specific conditions as they arise.
• Act as the primary liaison for title companies, real estate agents, mortgage loan officers, borrowers, and mortgage underwriters to ensure timely loan closures.
• Guarantee that all loan files, credit packages, and disclosure packages comply with our company’s lending policies, as well as state and federal regulations.
• Efficiently submit loan documentation into the required software systems.
• Collect and authenticate all loan documentation—including title insurance, loan applications, credit reports, appraisals, and income and asset declarations—to ensure prompt submission for underwriting approval.
  
  

Required Skills

• Strong time management capabilities.
• High level of attention to detail.
• Excellent customer service orientation and communication skills.
• Comprehensive knowledge of current residential mortgage loans, including FNMA, FHA, VA, USDA, and Conventional loans.
• Familiarity with commercial loans and refinancing is advantageous.
• Profound understanding of the mortgage industry and relevant federal and state regulations.
  
  

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree is preferred; however, a high school diploma is mandatory.
• A minimum of 8 years of experience in mortgage loan processing, with a proven track record across various loan types and regulatory knowledge.
• Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English is an asset.
