Secret Lead Information Security Systems Engineer - Remote | WFH

Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Lead Information Security Systems Engineer with a passion for cybersecurity and system integrity to join our esteemed team. In this pivotal role, you will apply advanced Systems Security Engineering methodologies and technologies to enhance the architecture, design, and integration of both systems and networks, thereby ensuring their security and integrity.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with government clients to identify and implement their security requirements throughout the system lifecycle, ensuring successful security authorization.
• Guide systems developers and commercial vendors in the design and evaluation of secure systems, networks, and database products.
• Utilize advanced techniques such as encryption and vulnerability analysis to build a cohesive system security framework, alongside necessary policies for ongoing monitoring.
• Prepare Certification and Accreditation documentation in accordance with multiple standards under the Risk Management Framework (RMF).
• Represent program security needs and concerns during customer meetings, fostering strong collaborative relationships.
• Engage with subject matter experts to shape program planning, technical designs, and acquisition strategies.
• Lead security testing and verification activities to uphold the integrity of our systems.
  
  

Required Skills

• Proven expertise in program protection and system security engineering.
• Proficient in encryption technology and vulnerability analysis.
• Familiarity with DoDI 8500.01, DoDI 8510, and NIST cybersecurity standards.
• Strong communication skills, capable of preparing comprehensive reports and presentations for senior officials.
• Experience with electronic components in advanced systems, including Integrated Circuits, FPGAs, and ASIC technologies.
• Technical proficiency in Windows and Linux administration.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience, or a Graduate Degree with at least 4 years in the field. Candidates with 10 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree are also encouraged to apply.
• Must possess an active Collateral Secret Clearance and demonstrate the capability to obtain and maintain a DOD 8140 certification (or NIST 800-181) within six months of employment.
