Job Overview

We are in search of an accomplished Director of Business Development to spearhead a skilled team dedicated to identifying and securing significant strategic accounts within the Enterprise and Commercial Markets in the Technology sector. This remote position offers an exceptional opportunity to foster rapid growth and fulfill annual business objectives through adept leadership and innovative sales strategies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Formulate and implement an acquisition strategy aimed at attracting high-value Commercial and Enterprise prospects.
  • Lead and mentor Business Development Managers in pursuing intricate opportunities with substantial revenue potential.
  • Utilize extensive sales expertise to manage multi-million dollar deals and engage with C-Level Executives from Fortune 1000 companies.
  • Successfully navigate complex sales cycles involving diverse stakeholders, ensuring contract value while mitigating risks and enhancing profitability.
  • Collaborate closely with finance, sales executives, and other stakeholders to craft strategies for significant financial agreements.
  • Develop and execute tactical sales plans across a broad spectrum of products and services.
  • Remain up-to-date with industry trends and best practices to refine sales strategies and inform decision-making.
  • Build and nurture senior-level relationships with key accounts and strategic partners, aligning client needs with organizational capabilities.
  • Lead negotiations with a focus on our value proposition to close deals effectively.
  • Ensure transparency in pipeline management and contract oversight.

Required Skills

  • Proven ability to devise and execute successful acquisition strategies.
  • Expertise in managing large-scale deals exceeding $1M annually.
  • Strong negotiation skills, particularly with C-Level Executives.
  • Proficient in managing complex sales cycles with multiple stakeholders.
  • Excellent relationship-building capabilities with key accounts.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Comprehensive understanding of industry trends and best practices.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 10 years of successful sales experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership capacity in business-to-business environments.
  • Demonstrated success in securing large, complex deals and negotiating at the C-Suite level.
  • Experience working collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • A record of consistently meeting or exceeding sales quotas and financial targets.
  • Strong business acumen with forecasting proficiency.
  • A Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience is required; an advanced degree is preferred.
