We are currently on the lookout for dedicated Adjunct Instructors to teach biology courses for the upcoming Fall 2024 semester. The Biology and Chemistry department plays a vital role in nurturing students across various majors, including Biology, Biomedical Engineering, Medical Laboratory Technician, and Allied Health, equipping them for successful careers in laboratory science and advanced studies in science-related disciplines.

Key Responsibilities

• Teach courses such as:
• BIO 105: Introduction to Biology
• BIO 108: Human Biology/Lab
• BIO 203: Anatomy/Physiology I/Lab
• BIO 204: Anatomy/Physiology II/Lab
• BIO 205: Microbiology/Lab
• Develop and refine course materials and assessments that facilitate student learning.
• Provide academic guidance and mentorship to students.
• Collaborate with faculty and staff to enhance the educational experience.
  

Required Skills

• Strong foundation in Biology or a closely related field.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to effectively engage with a diverse community of faculty, staff, and students.
• Experience with online or remote teaching platforms is preferred.
  
  

Qualifications

• Master's Degree or higher in Biology or a relevant discipline.
• Preferred experience teaching biology at the college level; experience in community colleges is valued.
