Senior Accounting Manager - Consumer Goods & Retail Operations with Technical Expertise

Role Overview

You will work directly with the VP of Accounting, supporting a range of activities including monthly close processes, special accounting projects, process policy implementation, audit support, ERP initiatives, and various aspects of operational accounting. Qualifications

• BA/BS/Master's in Accounting or equivalent work experience; CPA license is preferred.
• A minimum of 5-7 years of accounting/finance experience is required, with people management experience and experience in retail/e-commerce preferred.
• Familiarity with NetSuite is a plus.
  
  

Key Responsibilities

• US GAAP Technical Accounting: Collaborate with the VP of Accounting to develop and maintain accounting policies and procedures in line with US GAAP. Assist with technical assessments, estimates, and documentation as needed.
• GL Accounting & Financial Reporting: Take ownership of specific aspects of the monthly close process, assist with budget-to-actual analysis, create and review journal entries, and provide guidance on financial practices. Support ad hoc analysis for complex accounting questions and projects and contribute to quarterly investor reporting. Balance tactical work with team supervision as required, and assist in managing two Senior Accountant resources.
• Financial Data Systems: Work with internal data analysts and engineers to enhance and scale financial reporting systems. Support ERP integrations and other software tools to modernize business processes.
• Financial Audit: Play a key role in preparing for the annual audit, including documentation and recommendations. Assist in managing the audit by handling requests and preparing schedules within the financial statements.
