Remote Accounting Manager - $125k + Equity | WFH Opportunity

Job Overview

We are seeking an accomplished Accounting Manager to join our dynamic SaaS startup, where your contributions will directly influence our financial strategy and operational excellence. Key Responsibilities

• Financial Reporting: Prepare and meticulously review comprehensive financial statements, encompassing monthly, quarterly, and annual reports. Ensure strict adherence to GAAP and relevant accounting standards while managing the month-end close process and supervising general ledger operations.
• Revenue Recognition: Oversee the SaaS revenue recognition processes in compliance with ASC 606, including billing, collections, and revenue forecasting.
• Account Reconciliation: Conduct regular reconciliations of various accounts to ensure accuracy and reliability of financial data.
• Budgeting & Forecasting: Collaborate in the creation of budgets, financial forecasts, and variance analyses, offering valuable insights and recommendations to support strategic financial planning.
• Audit & Compliance: Facilitate internal and external audits, ensuring timely completion and resolution of findings while maintaining comprehensive documentation.
• Team Leadership: Provide mentorship and guidance to accounting staff, fostering a high-performance culture while collaborating with senior management to report financial performance to investors monthly.
  
  

Required Skills

• Bachelor's (or Master's) degree in Accounting
• CPA certification and experience with a Big 4 firm
• Extensive knowledge of U.S. GAAP
• Proficiency in QuickBooks and familiarity with larger ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, Oracle)
• Experience scaling a business and working cross-functionally
• Strong leadership and mentoring capabilities
  
  

Qualifications

• A minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, including 1-2 years as a senior accountant within the SaaS sector
• Experience with multilocation and/or multi-product pricing models is advantageous
• Prior IPO or VC exit experience is preferred
