Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Senior Financial Analyst to become a vital part of our finance team. In this remote role, you will play a key role in shaping our financial strategies through effective budgeting, forecasting, and reporting. We require candidates to be located in the Chicagoland area, with the flexibility to work primarily from home and attend the office just two days each month.

Key Responsibilities

  • Elevate Financial Reporting: Create standardized reporting templates that assist managers in identifying trends and variances while enhancing the clarity of financial presentations.
  • Facilitate Financial Planning: Collaborate in the monthly and quarterly forecasting processes and support the annual planning of various business units alongside Senior Analysts.
  • Support Executive Decision-Making: Develop insightful reports that drive strategic decision-making, and contribute to the creation of critical business cases during the annual planning cycle.
  • Maintain Management Reporting Infrastructure: Oversee the annual updates of cost allocations and manage monthly allocation processes to ensure precise financial reporting.
  • Ensure Financial Statement Accuracy: Prepare journal entries and validate the accuracy of monthly financial statements.
  • Data Management: Collect, structure, and present data for diverse reports and dashboards.
  • Conduct Financial Analysis: Perform evaluations of unit operations and financial performance, comparing current metrics with historical data, budgets, and forecasts. Effectively communicate key insights through both standardized and tailored reports to keep stakeholders informed.
  • Foster Team Collaboration: Undertake additional responsibilities as needed, including supporting finance and cross-functional teams, and engaging in special projects.
