Job Overview

Join our esteemed Transit Facilities division as a Senior Structural Engineer / Project Manager, where you will play a pivotal role in redefining transit infrastructure. This remote position offers you the chance to lead a talented team of engineers and architects, turning visionary concepts into tangible realities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Spearhead the development and management of structural designs for transit infrastructure initiatives.
  • Collaborate effectively with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure that facilities achieve project objectives, adhere to regulations, and surpass safety benchmarks.
  • Conduct comprehensive site evaluations and collect data to inform rehabilitation, expansion, and repair programs.
  • Maintain rigorous technical oversight of project deliverables, ensuring precision in drawings, specifications, calculations, and reports throughout all phases.
  • Administer staffing budgets and assignment schedules, while monitoring project quality, timing, and client satisfaction.

Required Skills

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (or a related discipline) along with a minimum of 15 years of pertinent experience.
  • Active licensure as a Professional Engineer (PE) and Structural Engineer (SE), with the capability to secure additional registrations as necessary.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office, structural design and analysis software, and building information modeling (BIM) tools, including Revit; familiarity with CAD tools such as AutoCAD or MicroStation is also essential.
  • Demonstrated project management experience and the ability to effectively engage in client-facing roles.
  • Expertise in independently generating structural drawings and documentation, conducting quality checks, and complying with design codes such as ACI, ASCE, AISC, ASTM, and International Building Codes.

Qualifications

  • 15+ years of relevant engineering experience.
  • Proven track record in project management and team leadership.
