Job Overview

We are a prestigious commercial driver's license (CDL) protection subscription service, boasting over 35 years of experience dedicated to supporting individual drivers and fleets. Our mission centers around mitigating fines, minimizing court-related downtimes, and safeguarding compliance, safety, and accountability (CSA) scores.

As a Business Development Representative, you will be pivotal in recognizing and pursuing new business opportunities through both outbound and inbound communication. Your focus will be on developing and sustaining a strong sales prospect pipeline, especially within the small fleet segment, which consists of 5 to 20 trucks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Proactively identify and engage potential clients through strategic phone calls and diligent follow-ups.
  • Maintain a robust pipeline of sales prospects to ensure continuous business growth.
  • Collaborate with leadership to achieve departmental goals and targets.
  • Contribute to the expansion of the sales team by mentoring new colleagues and streamlining workflows.
  • Leverage company-generated leads while actively searching for new opportunities in the transportation sector.
  • Accurately assess client needs and effectively articulate the advantages of our products and services.
  • Prepare accurate pricing quotes and compile necessary sales order documentation and reports.
  • Consistently achieve or surpass monthly sales targets related to membership and fuel card offerings.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service to both existing clients and prospects, promptly addressing inquiries and resolving issues.
  • Work alongside sales leadership to formulate strategic sales initiatives.
  • Maintain updated records of leads and opportunities within the Salesforce CRM system.
  • Partner with the sales support team to ensure a seamless onboarding experience for new clients.
  • Undertake additional tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Familiarity with the trucking industry is beneficial but not mandatory.
  • Experience with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is required.
  • Knowledge of Salesforce or similar CRM tools is an advantage.
