Your missions

Position Title: Benefits Specialist (Remote - Contract-to-Hire)

Compensation: \(18 per hour

  • Contract Duration:** 6 months, with the potential for permanent employment
  • Location:** Fully remote
  • Start Date:** October 7th
  • Training Schedule:** 8 AM - 5 PM CST / 9 AM - 6 PM EST for the first four weeks
  • Training Compensation:** \)17 per hour

Regular Schedule: Flexible 8-hour shifts between 7 AM - 8 PM CST / 8 AM - 9 PM EST

Regular Compensation: $18 per hour

Training And Development

  • Engage in an extensive training program during the initial 4-5 weeks, designed to equip you with essential skills and knowledge.
  • Training compensation is set at $17 per hour, with progression to increased compensation upon successful completion of assessments.
  • Training consists of instructor-led web-based sessions and video modules to facilitate learning.
  • Please note that there is no paid time off (PTO) available during the first three months.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Manage 20-30 calls daily, with an average duration of 8-9 minutes per call.
  • Provide education and assistance to customers concerning their benefits plans.
  • Process enrollment transactions and address any arising issues.
  • Accurately document all customer interactions within the client system.
  • Utilize call guides to access client-specific information and deliver precise responses.

Required Skills

  • At least 1 year of experience in a call center, hospitality, or retail customer service role.
  • Proficiency in Windows 10 and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • Capacity to manage multiple monitors and adapt swiftly to new systems.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Background in employee benefits, healthcare, insurance, or claims processing is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with COBRA and retiree processing preferred.
