Your missions

Overview:

The Sr. Director of Finance will oversee the financial operations for 50-100 hospitality venues, managing revenues of $130M-$200M. This position reports directly to the CFO of OVG360 and on a dotted line to the Regional SVP of Operations. As a key member of the management team, the Sr. Director will act as an advisor and collaborator with the Field Finance division, providing insights, analysis, and recommendations regarding corporate strategy, finance, and accounting matters. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all fiscal and fiduciary responsibilities within the Facilities organization, while maximizing the organization’s equity value through financial stewardship and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

 

The Sr. Director of Finance must have a passion for the sports and entertainment industry, thrive in a team-first culture, and adapt to the evolving business environment. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on leader, detail-oriented, and driven by the challenge of supporting brand positioning and customer relationships from a financial perspective.

 

The role pays a yearly salary of $170,000-$180,000 plus bonus

Responsibilities:
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement comprehensive financial strategies to align with organizational goals. Support long-term financial planning to drive business growth and optimize multi-venue operations.
  • Process Optimization: Establish efficient financial processes, systems, and controls to enhance operational efficiency. Lead continuous improvement efforts and ensure scalability in operations.
  • Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate financial risks, ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements. Provide strategic insights to minimize risk exposure across venues.
  • Performance Monitoring: Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial metrics, presenting timely reports to senior leadership. Identify areas for improvement and drive strategies to enhance financial and operational performance.
  • Leadership & Team Management: Lead a team of Field Finance and Regional Finance Directors, providing mentorship and fostering a culture of collaboration and accountability. Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting, including compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements.
  • Financial Reporting & Analysis: Oversee the financial reporting and planning functions of the Facilities Division, delivering clear insights into venue profitability and cash flow needs. Ensure compliance with GAAP and other regulatory standards.
  • Contract Compliance & Policies: Maintain and update accounting policies and procedures, ensuring contract compliance across all venues. Act as the subject matter expert on accounting systems and processes.
  • Training & Development: Lead the training of finance employees and oversee the onboarding of finance functions for new business opportunities, ensuring smooth integration and consistency.
  • Budgeting & Forecasting: Review and approve venue budgets, forecasts, and tracking reports, ensuring accuracy and variance explanations. Collaborate with General Managers to align venue performance with client expectations. 
  • Event Deal Analysis: Assist in projecting event deals and actual P&Ls, analyzing event financials, and overseeing settlements on the night of events.
  • Payroll Management: Oversee the payroll process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of paychecks across all venues.

 

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred). 
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in accounting and finance, with prior experience in the sports, entertainment, or facility management industries. 
  • Demonstrated experience overseeing multiple venues and a “hands-on” approach to finance. 
  • Strong understanding of accounting standards and financial reporting, with an operations-focused mindset. 
  • Public accounting experience is a plus. 
  • Familiarity with accounting software such as NetSuite and Sage is a plus. 
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and present to senior leadership.
