Job Title: GL Accountant

Job Description

A Life Science company based in the San Francisco Peninsula is looking to add a GL Accountant to support their team! Responsibilities include entering financial data and transactions into the ledger, recording cash entries, preparing and performing cash reconciliations, reviewing documents and accounts for accuracy, supporting month & quarter-end closing and audits including entries for fixed assets, prepaids, and standard accruals, verifying General Ledger coding, managing new vendor set up for Accounts Payable, resolving and reconciling 3-way match for invoices, and collaborating with cross-functional teams as needed (research, development, operations).

Hard Skills

  • 3-5 years of experience performing similar tasks
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or similar field preferred
  • Intermediate Excel experience required (vlookup, pivot tables)
  • Experience with Quickbooks required, QBO preferred
  • Experience with Point Purchasing preferred
  • Experience supporting a Life Science/Biotech company is preferred

Job Type

This is a contract position with a duration of 9 Month(s). That is PART TIME only.

Work Site

This is a fully remote position unless in the Bay Area Ca then 1 day on site.

Work Environment

Fully remote is fine, if this person is VERY communicative. STRONGLY PREFER Hybrid in the Bay Area. Can even be 1 day in office a week or primarily remote with commute to the office during Month & Quarter ends.
